As part of a collaboration between the Dafabet Welsh Premier League and Northern Ireland Football League, Bangor City, Bala Town and Connah’s Quay have all confirmed friendly fixtures next month ahead of their respective Europa League qualifying campaigns.

The UEFA Europa League first qualifying round first-leg will take place on June 29th and it is considered that playing against Northern Ireland’s European qualifying clubs will prove more meaningful preparation matches for this year’s WPL entrants.

Bala Town will host Linfield at Maes Tegid whilst Bangor City and Connah’s Quay both travel to Northern Ireland.

Bangor City will face Coleraine and Connah’s Quay play Ballymena United.

All three fixtures will be played on Saturday 17th June, kick-off times tbc.

The draw for the first two qualifying rounds of the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League will be held on June 19th with Rangers, Aberdeen and St. Johnstone among the possible first round opponents.

To reach the main group stage of the Europa League, a Welsh Premier League club would need to progress through three qualifying rounds and then advance from a qualifying round featuring Champions League qualifying clubs.
