Unbeaten South Wales Warriors Face Local Opposition in Play-Offs

A SEVERNSIDE derby stands between the unbeaten South Wales Warriors and a British American Football Association semi-final. The Warriors host Division Two South West rivals the Bristol Apache in the Southern Conference quarter finals on Sunday (2pm) at Llanharan Rugby Club. The Warriors lost at the semi-final stage last year, at home, to the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts which condemned them to a second successive season in the bottom tier.

New Swansea City striker Sam Surridge wants a crack at the Premier League, having had a taster when he was just 19. Surridge instilled himself with the belief he could cut it at the very top level by troubling Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo in an FA Cup tie in 2018. Wales’ Fastest Man Seeks Nation’s Help To Propel Him To Olympics

The unofficial fastest man in Wales has set up a fund-raising page in order to help him achieve his dream of competing in the 100 metres at next year’s Tokyo Olympics. Sam Gordon – who recently clocked the fastest ever time by a Welshman with a wind-assisted 10.08s in his home city of Cardiff – is aiming to raise £25,000. The money would allow Gordon to train as a full-time athlete as he bids to earn a place in the Great Britain squad for Tokyo 2020.
