Isaac Vassell, the cousin of former Aston Villa, Manchester City and England striker Darius, has signed for Cardiff City.
The 25-year-old joins the Bluebirds from Birmingham City and has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at Cardiff City Stadium until the summer of 2022.
“I’m delighted to be here,” said Vassell. “Cardiff City is a massive Club. Look at the squad – there are some big players in there and the manager is amazing.
“It feels like the right step to further my career. I want to show everyone what I’m about – pace, power and goals. Hopefully, I can make that happen.
“There are a good few faces in the squad and the lads that I’ve seen have already made me feel welcome, which is brilliant.”
Cornishman Vassell, who was born in Newquay, is Cardiff’s second new signing, following the arrival of striker Robert Glatzel from Bundesliga Two club Heidenheim.
Pacey forward Vassell began his career in the West Country, with Plymouth Argyle and Truro City. In 2016, he moved on to this Saturday’s opponents Luton Town, scoring 16 goals in 55 league and cup appearances, before joining Birmingham.
Vassell was withdrawn from the Birmingham squad to face Portsmouth in the EFL Cup in midweek with manager Pep Clotet admitting a move was close.
Cardiff, it seems, could add Marlon Pack from Bristol City to their squad.
Meanwhile, Bobby Decordova-Reid is said to have signed for Fulham in a £10m transfer, while Gregg Cunningham is completing a loan move to Blackburn Rovers.
Cunningham, 28, has made only eight appearances for Cardiff since his £4m switch from Preston North End in the summer of 2018.
Luton Town travel to Cardiff City Stadium for the first time in their history on Saturday, having last visited the Bluebirds at Ninian Park during September 2006 when City won 4-1 in front of more than 14,000 spectators

The Hatters were promoted to the Championship from League One at the end of the 2018-19 season, topping the table with 94 points.
During the season, Luton went on a 28-match unbeaten streak.
Luton’s top goalscorer in their league-winning campaign was James Collins (pictured above). The striker scored 25 goals in 42 league appearances for the Luton opened their first season in the Championship in over a decade with an exciting 3-3 draw against Middlesbrough.
