Wrexham keeper Rob Lainton was allowed to travel home after being taken to hospital having been knocked unconscious against Bromley.
The National League game on Saturday was stopped for 30 minutes with both teams leaving the pitch as Lainton was being treated by medics.
The Red Dragons stopper was injured in a seemingly innocuous clash with Bromley striker James Alabi which left him sprawled out on the pitch.

The 31-year-old was taken from Hayes Lane to the nearby Princess Royal University Hospital.
But Lainton was later released and travelled home with his team-mates.
When the match resumed, 26 minutes was added on for first-half injury time.

The home side took the lead before half-time with Wrexham’s players still reeling from the incident as Michael Cheek firing past replacement keeper Christian Dibble.
But Adi Yussuf’s second-half leveller for his fourth goal of the season earned a point for Wrexham who are now fourth in the table.
