Flint Town United play Airbus Broughton in a Huws Gray Alliance match at Cae-y-Castell this evening (Wednesday).

An away win for the Wingmakers would lift them to within a point of Alliance leaders Caernarfon Town.

This will be the third meeting between the Flintshire rivals this season, with a win apiece for both sides from the first two games.

The most recent match was a League Cup tie at the Airfield last month when Flint came through 1-0 thanks to a Ieuan Hewitt winner.

Airbus had several recent signings cup tied for that game, including James Hooper, who started the season with Flint. Those players are available to play against Flint this evening.

Flint manager Niall McGuinness will be calling on his team to start the game with the same tempo and urgency that they played the second half in their previous game at Denbigh when they came from a goal behind to win 2-1.

Joe Palmer and Jacques Welsh who both missed that fixture come back into the reckoning for this one.

Huws Gray Alliance fixtures:

Wednesday, March 7: Flint Town United v Airbus Broughton, Penrhyncoch v Caersws.

Friday, March 9: Denbigh Town v Holyhead Hotspur.
