Robert Page and his Wales team powered to a convincing away win in their opening Uefa Under-21 Championship group match against Switzerland in Biel.
David Brooks (Sheffield United), George Thomas (Leicester City) and Tyler Roberts (Walsall) scored the goals which delighted manager Page.
Wales now focus on their second group match, against Portugal away in Chaves on Tuesday.
It was a confident performance from Wales, who started in style when Roberts scored their first goal after seven minutes. He finished a flowing passing move by firing past goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.
Wales were composed and pressed forward, pushing the Swiss team back. Brooks doubled their lead when he broke free into the penalty area and chipped Kobel at close range from a tight angle.
Switzerland came out hard in the second half and tried to pull a goal back, but Wales defended solidly.
The hosts had to press and Wales hit them on the break, finding space behind home defenders.
Wales scored their third goal during injury time when A third goal seemed inevitable and it came in added time as Thomas fired between a post and the Swiss goalkeeper.
Wales now go to Portugal for their second qualifier on Tuesday, September 5 in Chaves.
