Craig Harrison could be set to make a return to Welsh football amidst growing speculation linking the former TNS boss with the vacant Bangor City job.
Bangor City are due to appoint a new manager later this week after it was announced that Kevin Nicholson and Gary Taylor-Fletcher would not be staying beyond the current the season following their demotion out of the Welsh Premier League.
It is increasingly expected that the Citizens will now turn to Craig Harrison, who has been without a club since leaving Hartlepool United in February, to fill the vacancy.
Harrison would be tasked with achieving promotion out of Cymru Alliance and restoring the club’s Welsh Premier League status.
A well-known figure in Welsh Premier League managerial circles is also expected to work alongside Harrison as his assistant manager.
Harrison enjoyed enormous success in his previous spell in Welsh football where, as The New Saints manager, he won six consecutive league championships, four Welsh Cups and three League Cups.
Gateshead-born Harrison departed the Saints last summer to return to the north-east with troubled Hartlepool United, where he lasted just nine months.
Bangor City would become Harrison’s third Welsh club after starting his managerial career with Airbus UK.
