Penydarren BGC are having an astonishing season.
They have won every fixture played in the Highadmit South Wales League, Welsh Cup, FAW Trophy and W John Owen Cup.
Penydarren are sixth in their table, but they have plenty of games in hand over all teams above them. Their cup successes mean they have only managed to fit in six Premier Division fixtures so far.
Llandudno Junction away is their next test in the Welsh Cup, while Penydarren have been drawn at Goodwick, West Wales in the trophy.
Carmarthen Stars were their latest victims when Penydarren won 5-0 to march into the last 16 of the trophy.
Holders Chirk AAA’s made it nine successive wins in the FAW Trophy to book their place in round five with a 4-0 win over New Brighton Villa.
The Colliers paraded the trophy in a special presentation at half-time of the Wales v Panama international match, but it was back to business in round four of the competition when Matty Thomas, Matty Woods (2) and Louie Middlehurst scored the goals for manager Mark Holmes’ men.
Chirk travel to play Llanrug United in the next round.
Llangefni Town, beaten by Chirk in last season’s semi-final, earned a 4-0 home win over Llanystumdwy. Iwan Jones, Sean Pritchard and Matthew Jones scored the goals at Cae Bob Parry.
Conwy Borough came from a goal down to beat Cefn Albion at Y Morfa. Connor Kendrick gave the visitors the lead on 20 minutes, but Corrig McGonigle and Jamie Roberts netted in the final 20 minutes to ensure Conwy’s Tangerines went through.
The first Flintshire derby between hosts Buckley Town and FC Nomads of Connah’s Quay was close fought. Home team Buckley progressed thanks to a last minute extra-time winner from Shaun Tinsley.
Jake Roberts scored the earlier goal for Buckley, with Danny Wynne netting for the Deesiders.
In the other Flintshire derby, Sam Jones scored four for Greenfield in a 5-2 win at Mold Alex.
Cardiff club Grange Albion, who play in the South Wales Alliance Premier (Tier 5), defeated Welsh League Division Three club Treowen Stars (Tier 4) from Gwent.
Nathan Alderman and Matthew Phillips scored for Albion.
Gwent will be represented in the last 16, though, after Abertillery Bluebirds beat three-times FAW Trophy winners Ragged School 2-0 thanks to a first-half Cory Mitchell penalty and a Robbie Davies strike in the dying seconds.
Both Pembrokeshire League teams progressed with away wins.
Good wick United, the club were former Wales, Cardiff City and Aston Villa defender Mark Delany played as a youngster, won 1-0 against Ynysddu Welfare 1-0 thanks to an Adam Raymond strike, while 10-man Hakin Utd won 3-2 at Caerphilly Athletic.
Justin Harding (2) and Ben Steele were the scorers.
The tie between Garden Village and Villa Dino Christchurch was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch and will be played this Saturday.
All round four winners are awarded £500 prize money from the FAW.
