Omar Bogle is ready to ‘high five’ manager Neil Warnock.
Bogle, Cardiff City’s £1m striker, has scored in his last three matches and is intent on making amends for his red card dismissal against Bristol City away.
The Bluebirds have won four successive Championship matches and go to Reading on Monday in search of a fifth victory (Madejski Stadium, 8pm).
They started this season with five consecutive wins and are keen to repeat the feat with Bogle saying: “It’s great – winning builds morale naturally.
“The camp is happy, but it’s a long season and we’ve got to take every game as it comes. It would be great to repeat the same run that we did at the start of the season though.
“We’re not getting too far ahead of ourselves. We know what we have in our dressing room. Team spirit is really, really high and have great players.
“We believe we can win any game we go into and that’s what we’ll keep doing.”
Bogle and Danny Ward are challenging to start in attack for Cardiff, while Kenneth Zohore is likely to return from injury in the New Year.
“Wardy has done great when he’s played in and scored a few goals,” said Bogle. “Everybody has to work hard, be ready and determined to stay in that team.
“And we still have Ken to come back in.”
Manager Warnock has been nominated for November’s EFL manager pf the month award and Bogle says: “The Gaffer is so experienced.
“Whenever fans speak to me the first thing they say is ‘he’s a good man-manager.’
“He’s well renowned for that. His experience with dealing with so many players over the years helps us.
“The way he gets his message across to players and manages our temperament is great. Everyone loves him and nobody has a bad word to say about him.”
Cardiff City have three home fixtures remaining in 2017, starting against Hull City on Saturday, December 16 (5.30pm).
The Bluebirds have sold almost 2,000 extra season tickets and the total if now 14,500.
Half season tickets cost £29/£49/£139 for 12 Championship home games, working out at £2.50 a fixture for those aged under-16.
Cardiff are still hoping to move closer to their target of 18,000 season ticket sales.
