Llanelli Draw Newport County In Nathaniel Cup First Round

Llanelli Town have drawn Newport County in the first round of next season’s Nathaniel MG Cup as the return of competitive domestic football in Wales nears.

Newport County, entering the competition as an invitational wildcard entrant, will visit Andy Legg’s Llanelli side on Saturday 17th July following last night’s draw.

Buckley Town, Conwy Borough, Ruthin Town, Ammanford Town, Undy Athletic and Goytre United were all given first round byes in the Northern and Southern section draws.

Three-time League Cup winners Carmarthen Town and Afan Lido were handed away ties against Cambrian & Clydach and Cwmbran Celtic respectively.

Northern section:

Llangefni Town v Prestatyn Town
Llandudno v Denbigh Town
Bangor City v Holyhead Hotspur
Holywell Town v Colwyn Bay
Airbus Broughton UK v Guilsfield
Llanidloes Town v Gresford Athletic
Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant v Penrhyncoch

Byes: Buckley Town, Conwy Borough & Ruthin Town

Southern section:

Trefelin BGC v Taff’s Well
Cambrian & Clydach Vale BGC v Carmarthen Town
Port Talbot Town v Swansea University
Briton Ferry Llansawel v Pontypridd Town

Cwmbrān Celtic v Afan Lido
