The milestone night at Park Hall was one to remember for both Williams and his table-topping side, who now sit six points clear after producing a display that was as commanding as it was clinical.
Penybont arrived as the champions’ closest challengers but were swept aside by a TNS team that struck three times in each half and could easily have scored more.
For Williams, it was the dream way to mark his century — and another reminder of his growing influence in Craig Harrison’s side.
“A hat-trick wasn’t a bad way to celebrate my 100th league appearance for TNS,” he said afterwards. “I’m playing a bit further forward this season, feeling fitter and just enjoying my football.
“We’ve got a good team here and now we just have to keep pushing and pushing to make the gap at the top even bigger.”
Williams was at the heart of everything the league leaders did well, combining energy, composure and precision to punish Penybont’s every defensive lapse.
He struck twice before half-time to put TNS in control, then completed his treble on the hour mark to take his season’s tally to 11 goals in just 12 appearances — already surpassing his total from the whole of last season.
“Other than the goals we conceded it went exactly how we wanted really,” said Williams. “The goals were sloppy, but we took care of it at the other end.”
That self-criticism aside, it was another performance that underlined why TNS remain a level above the rest of the league. They moved the ball with pace, pressed relentlessly, and showed the kind of cutting edge that has defined their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Their eighth consecutive victory also stretched their unbeaten run to 12 matches, leaving the reigning champions firmly in charge at the summit.
As Williams led the celebrations, he had every reason to reflect on his progress since arriving at the club — evolving from a dynamic winger into one of the league’s most reliable finishers.
The rest of the goals came from a Ryan Brobbel penalty, Dan Williams, and Jack Nadin, while Penybont’s late efforts from Owain Warlow and James Crole served only as consolation.
TNS’s momentum shows no sign of slowing, and with Williams thriving in his advanced role, the gap between the champions and the chasing pack continues to widen.
Franklin fires Nomads to third straight win
Elsewhere in the JD Cymru Premier, Connah’s Quay Nomads maintained their own impressive run with a third win in seven days, beating Briton Ferry Llansawel 3–0 to stay firmly in contention for a top-three finish.
It was a week to remember for Harry Franklin, who delivered a nine-minute hat-trick that completely changed the course of the game.
The 25-year-old midfielder struck in the 51st, 56th and 60th minutes to repeat his scoring heroics from earlier in the week. Having opened his league account against Llanelli Town on Tuesday and found the net in a 3–1 win at Bala Town, Franklin made it four goals in back-to-back matches with a devastating spell of finishing.
His rapid treble was even quicker than the hat-trick he scored against Caernarfon Town last October, extending the Nomads’ tally to nine goals in three games — and nine points to match.
Bluebirds find their rhythm at home
Haverfordwest County also continued their revival, claiming a second home win in a week with a 2–0 victory over Bala Town.
Corey Shephard set up Greg Walters for the opener before Rhys Abbruzzese’s pinpoint cross was expertly headed in by Ben Ahmun to seal the points.
“We’ve had two big home wins at home. We knew this was going to be an important week for us and there are no excuses – we are where we are,” said Bluebirds boss Tony Pennock.
“We’ve got a break from the league now and when we come back to it in two weeks time and hopefully I’ll have Kyle McCarthy and Kyle Kenniford available. We’ve missed players and we haven’t had a full squad.”
The result left Bala winless in four and only three points ahead of their hosts, who are now just one place above the bottom.
Reeves hat-trick revives Silkmen’s fortunes
Elliott Reeves also claimed a treble as Newtown returned to form with a 4–0 rout of bottom side Llanelli Town.
Reeves scored twice before the interval, with Jake Canavan adding a third after the break before Reeves completed his hat-trick nine minutes from time.
The victory lifted the Silkmen to ninth after a difficult spell that had seen them suffer consecutive defeats to Haverfordwest County and Colwyn Bay.
Points shared in Barry and Colwyn Bay
In the other fixtures, Colwyn Bay extended their unbeaten run to three matches with a goalless home draw against Cardiff Met, keeping them in the top half of the table.
At Jenner Park, Barry Town United battled to a 2–2 draw with Caernarfon Town. Elliot Richards gave Barry an early lead, but goals from Phil Mooney and Iwan Lewis turned the game before Callum Sainty struck an equaliser in the 79th minute to rescue a point for the hosts.
Back to the milestone man
But the weekend belonged to Jordan Williams. A hat-trick, a 100th league appearance, and a six-point lead at the top — all in one night’s work.
With his form, fitness and confidence all peaking, few would bet against him making it another century of goals before long.
