Wrexham stand top of the Vanarama National League and welcome title rivals Halifax to the Racecourse on Tuesday evening.
Halifax are fourth in the table, one point behind the Dragons, and Wrexham manager Sam Ricketts says: “They are a good team, they work hard and are really well organised.
“It will be a real good test for us and it’s something we are relishing. You want to test yourself against the other good sides in the league.”
Wrexham jumped above their rivals thanks to a 2-0 home win against Aldershot Town, while Halifax drew 1-1 at Sutton United.
“We’re in a really good place in terms of results,” said Ricketts.
“Performances can certainly improve, but when games come thick and fast, you’re winning and you’re on a good run you want the games to come. The players are itching to get out there.
“At home under the lights it will be a really good atmosphere and it’s a game myself and the players are certainly looking forward to.
“I want people to be entertained. We want to play at home where the support is fantastic. The fans are amazing here and I’m trying to give them a team they want to come and watch.
“If we win and we score goals, brilliant. But if we don’t win, we entertain and they see a team of real character and commitment, it’s all a manager and a fan can ask for.
“Hopefully the result will come on top.”
Stuart Beavon and Jordan Maguire-Drew scored Wrexham’s goals in the win against Aldershot, having both been restored to the starting line-up.

Beavon scored his first Wrexham goal and Maguire-Drew’s third goal of the season sealed victory.
Wrexham have confirmed the signing of defender Jake Lawlor on a two-year deal from National League side Salford City FC for an undisclosed fee.
Yorkshireman Lawlor, 27, has worked his way though the ranks during his career with Salford having started with Northern Premier with Ossett Town.
Midway though 2012-13 season he joined Guiseley and scored the winning play-off final goal to clinch promotion from National League North the following season.
Ricketts said: “Jake brings a wealth of experience as well as adding more talent and competition to the back-line. That can only be healthy.
“He is a talented player who can add that bit extra for us.”
