Manager Bryan Hughes and his Dragons are geared up for a big push towards promotion to the Football League.
Wrexham have suffered back-to-back defeats, against Leyton Orient and Barrow, and Hughes says: “I am looking for two points per game personally which is championship winning form.
“We put that right against Maidstone and we are back to 16 points in eight games since I became manager.”
Wrexham have dropped to third place, four points behind leaders Orient, while today’s visitors Maidstone are 11 points adrift of safety at the other end of the table.
“Maidstone are going to be a different test,” said Hughes. “They are not just going to come here and let us walk all over them.

“Our attitude and application have to be right from the start and on Tuesday against Barrow it wasn’t.
“It is not about what other teams do, it is about what we do. That’s going to be imperative against Maidstone.
“It is about us and on Tuesday we didn’t do it well enough.
“We didn’t pass the ball well enough, our decision making at times wasn’t good enough, all factors that add up and we end up with a frustrating performance.
“That’s what happened against Barrow and we can’t allow it to happen against Maidstone.
“We have to be on song and play with intensity.”
Wrexham missed out on a play-offs finish last season when Dean Keates was manager and Hughes says: “People are going to have reservations. What happened last season will still be fresh in peoples minds.
“I won’t allow that to happen. It is my job now to galvanise the team. I don’t want people to feel sorry for themselves and get into a rut.
“It is about getting the players’ spirits up now. They will want to put right all the wrongs that happened against Barrow.
“We can’t dwell on that. Everybody was hurt and nobody saw it coming, but it did.
“Now we have to react.”
Maidstone head coach Hakan Hayrettin reckons Maidstone must win their remaining nine games to have a chance of staying up.
The Stones are 11 points from safety with nine games left after losing at Eastleigh in midweek.
“We need to win them all,” said Hayrettin. “We have to go and fight, haven’t we? These are winnable games.
“It’s about structure, discipline. We’re trying to ensure they understand what’s required to win games of football.
“If they listen we’re there. If they don’t listen, it’s not going to happen.”
