Wrexham have been drawn at home against Vanarama National League promotion rivals Leyton Orient in the FA Trophy.

The second round draw was made live at Wembley Stadium during the Ray Stubbs Show on talkSPORT 2 with the FA’s George Dorling and Tony Incenzo  pulling out the balls.

There are 16 ties to be played over the weekend of Saturday, January 12 with winning clubs picking up £7000 from the competition’s prize fund.

Vanarama Premier Division leaders Orient won 4-0 against Beaconsfield Town in their fourth round tie, while Wrexham, who are fourth in the table, defeated Boston United 3-0.

Graham Barrow is Wrexham’s interim manager he has since signed a new contract keeping him at The Racecourse until the end of the 2020-21 season.

Barrow will revert to assistant manager when a replacement for Sam Ricketts, now in charge at League One Shrewsbury Town, is appointed.

“We are moving through our process and that is what we are focussed on,” said Wrexham director Spencer Harris.

“The ultimate is to get the right result for the football club and that will be as quick as we can make it, as long as it takes.

“We have a brilliant team in place, we have plans for the future and know where we are going. There is no mad rush.

“We will do what is right for the football club in the speed it takes.”

Former Wrexham defender Dennis Lawrence, now manager of Trinidad & Tobago, is among the favourites to replace Ricketts.
