Merthyr Town face dangerous FA Cup opponents when they travel to play Plymouth Argyle in Devon on Saturday.
Parkway, intent on earning promotion to Southern League status this season, suffered their first Western League defeat in eight months in their last fixture.
They lost 2-0 at Bridgwater Town and Parkway manager Lee Hobbs says: “That was tough to take. We had been unbeaten since January, a fantastic achievement, but every successful run comes to an end at some stage.
“We move on to the next test. – against Merthyr Town – and hope to put another run together.”
Former Hereford United goalkeeper Kyle Moore, aged 23, will go through his regular pre-match routine before facing Merthyr,
He always goes left to right when putting on his kit, saying: “Everything on the left side always goes on first. Left sock first, left boot first etc.”

Moore believes the pressure is off for Parkway in this match and says: “We have regrouped as a squad this week and trained hard to put things right.
“Saturday is a freebie. It’s in the FA Cup, Merthyr are two leagues higher than us and we won’t be going in as favourites as we usually are.
“There is no pressure on us this time.
“Anything can happen in cup games. We will go out wanting to win and cause an upset and won’t make Bolitho Park an easy place for Merthyr to come.
“Merthyr will be big favourites, but we believe in ourselves at home.”
Player-Manager Gavin Williams and his Martyrs open their Emirates FA Cup campaign in the first qualifying round at Parkway.
Merthyr are looking to maintain their good form after two successive BetVictor Southern League Premier South wins, against Met Police and Swindon Supermarine.

Williams has had a major boost ahead of the game with Elliot Richards available after his international clearance was finalised following his return from Hereford United.
Striker Gethyn Hill is also available again after receiving from injury having played in the last 30 minutes of Merthyr’s win against Supermarine last time out.
Merthyr and Parkway have FA Cup history, having played each other in 2015. The Martyrs won 2-0 winners at Bolitho Park.
The hosts have already come through two rounds in the Emirates FA Cup, beating Buckland Athletic 1-0 and Paulton Rovers 5-2.
