Wrexham are fighting for their play-off lives and Daggers will be drawn for Saturday’s Vanarama National League clash at the Racecourse.

Hugely experienced Dagenham and Redbridge manager John Still leads his injury-hit team to North Wales.

Wrexham go into the game on the back of possibly their worst display of the season in  a 3-0 midweek Ebbsfleet United in Kent.

Second half strikes from Corey Whitely, Danny Kedwell and Luke Coulson helped Ebbslffet extend their unbeaten run to nine matches.

The Dragons are without a victory since beating Maidstone United at the end of March, earning two points from a possible 12 since then.

Wrexham midfield player Marcus Kelly has been outstanding for the Reds, featuring both through the middle and on the left wing.

Kettering-born Kelly has been a big influence through the middle and his contribution will be crucial as Wrexham aim to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Dagenham have lost players due to financial troubles this season, but have managed to keep 22-year old forward Fejiri Okenabirhie, who has scored 10 goals for the Daggers this term. The former Arsenal forward last netted in the 2-1 win against Maidstone.

“It is tricky,” says Still. “I can’t criticise the players because they play and run the risk of getting injured and not knowing if they’re getting paid next month.

“They’ve done an unbelievable job and have been amazing for this club. I’m proud of every single one of them.”

Daggers only have a few fixtures left this season and Still admits everyone has something to fight for and they must keep chasing the teams ahead of them in the National League.”

Wrexham will be without Chris Holroyd, ruled out by a foot injury, while Sam Wedgbury is doubtful.

Kevin Roberts serves the third and final game of his suspension and will be available the following week against Leyton Orient.
