Teenage goalkeeper Lewis Webb produced another solid performance and kept a clean sheet in Merthyr Town’s 1-0 home win against Chesham United at the MetCoaches Stadium.

The Martyrs battled to a home victory and now travel to Frome Town on Boxing Day.

Webb, who has played in two Merthyr victories this season, stepped in to replace the unavailable Joe Perry and made some outstanding saves.

He made a terrific save low down rodent Chesham an equaliser three minutes into injury time.

Merthyr produced a performance full of heart and character, while former Swansea City winger Kerry Morgan fired the winner.

Morgan netted after 66 minutes to earn the three points. It was a tremendous strike by Morgan to take the victory.

The Martyrs have done well to sustain a play-offs challenge in the EvoStik Southern LeaguePremier Division despite being rocked by an injury crisis.
