Merthyr Town have their Christmas Jumper trip when they travel to play Harrow Borough for an EvoStik Southern League fixture this Saturday (December 15).

The Martyrs are supporting Solidarity Sports and the Non-League 4 Grenfell movement by maintaining awareness of the awful Grenfell Tower tragedy that affected so many people and has displaced many families including young children.

Merthyr fans are also being asked take a small gift or toy that can be donated to children of still displaced families to make their Christmas a little better and hopefully bring a smile their faces.

The fans coaches aim to arrive at Harrow Borough around 1pm to meet up with Solidarity Sports and the Non-League 4 Grenfell movement to hand over donations.

Merthyr Town have earned 17 points from nine away games, against 12 collected from home fixtures.

They lost 2-0 at home against Poole Town last time out, a bitterly disappointing result in front of 279 spectators. That was their lowest attendance of the season at MetCoaches Stadium.

Ashley Evans was serving his second game under suspension and will miss the Harrow trip, while Ryan Prosser was in New York. Connor Young returned for Adam Davies, but Merthyr were still without Joe Hunt and Jarrad Wright.

A further blow came when Owain Jones suffered tendon problems and limped off late on.

Player-manager Gavin Williams, Cavan Williams and Reuben MacKay with the substitutes used by Merthyr.

Merthyr Town squad v Poole Town: Joe Perry, Connor Young, Craig McDonnell, Kyle Patten, Kieran Lewis, Corey Jenkins, Matthew Harris, Lee Lucas, Corey Jenkins, Owain Jones, Tom Meechan, Ian Traylor. Subs: Gavin Williams, Kerry Morgan, Cavan Williams, Reuben Mackay.
