Cardiff Met host Newtown this evening in the first semi-final of this season’s Nathaniel MG Cup (7.45).

Connah’s Quay will host current holders The New Saints in the second semi-final next week.

Neither Cardiff Met or Newtown have won the competition previously and come into game having won on the weekend.

Spirits will be high in the Cardiff Met camp after their victory over Llandudno saw them climb to the top of the Welsh Premier League.

Newtown recorded a timely win over struggling Carmarthen and will be looking to secure their first final appearance since 2012.

The Robins will have midfielder Jay Denny back from suspension.
