Caernarfon Town have been handed a home draw against Connah’s Quay in the quarter-final of the JD Welsh Cup after overcoming rivals Bangor City on the weekend.

Current holders Connah’s Quay face a difficult visit to the Oval after coming back from a goal down to see off Carmarthen Town in their fourth round tie.

Bala Town will host Nathaniel MG Cup winners Cardiff Met at Maes Tegid, while Welsh Premier relegation candidates Llandudno face The New Saints.

The Lakesides enter the quarter-final after a late rally in extra-time saw them overcome Welsh League Division 1 Haverfordwest County. Cardiff Met advanced thanks to an away win at Aberystwyth Town.

Cambrian & Clydach, the lowest ranked side in the draw, will visit Barry Town United looking for a repeat of their shock Nathaniel MG Cup victory over the Linnets earlier in the season. The Rhondda side defeated Rhyl while Barry beat Cefn Druids.

Ties will be played over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March.
