Wrexham AFC have now gone five matches without a win.
They drew 3-3 at the Racecourse after visitors Barrow fired an equaliser five minutes into injury time.
Calum McDonald’s late, late strike was a massive blow for Wrexham, who have slipped to fifth place after three consecutive Vanarama National League draws.
They are nine points behind leaders Macclesfield Town, who started the Wrexham rot when they defeated the Dragons 4-1 in early December.
Manager Dean Keates and his team returned to Conference action after their scheduled match at Gateshead on Saturday was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
Scott Boden had put Wrexham 3-2 ahead with 14 minutes left, but McDonald’s last gasp equaliser left the home team downhearted.
They now focus on their home clash with Torquay United on Saturday, January 6 (3pm).
Chris Holroyd headed Wrexham in front after 19 minutes, scoring from Paul Rutherfied’s corner, but Adi Yussuf (31 mins) and Dan Jones (37) gave Barrow a 2-1 lead.
Yusuf scored from close in after Moussa Diarra set him up from a Donovan Makoma cross an then Jones fired across the goalkeeper and inside the far post after Wrexham’s Jennings con ceded possession.
Jennings made amends when he hauled his team level again during first half injury time from a magnificent free-kick in a pulsating clash.
Wrexham deserved to be level after dominating most of the opening 45 minutes and must have felt confident at 2-2.
Scott Boden netted to hand Wrexham a 3-2 lead, scoring after George Miller’s header hit the bar after 74 minutes and the home team looked on track.
Then came that McDonald goal which earned Barrow a draw they scarcely deserved. They worked hard for their point, but Wrexham were the better team overall.
Boden, back to fitness after missing the 1-1 draw at Barrow on Boxing Day, was recalled to Wrexham’s starting line-up, taking over from Mark Carrington.
It was a six-goal thriller, but Wrexham were left frustrated and the two managers clashed during injury time.
Keates and Barrow’s Ady Pennock were both sent to the stands following an altercation as Wrexham failed to clear from a corner and MacDonald scored with a low shot after 95 minutes.
