Merthyr Town have signed former Cardiff City hero Andy Campbell – for one night only.

Campbell, the striker who led the Bluebirds into Championship football, will host an evening at Merthyr’s MetCoaches Stadium on Friday, November 2.

It was Campbell who scored the extra time winner for the Cardiff against Queens Park Rangers in the play-off final at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.

He will be at Merthyr Town for an evening of stories and chat, while comedian Leroy Britto will also be appearing.

Tickets are £25 per person, including chicken and chips, and can be purchased from Richard on 07852950486.

Merthyr have started the 2018-19 season in style and are joint top of the Southern League Premier table, level on points with Weymouth and Tiverton.

They are through to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup and play Winchester City at home on Saturday, September 22.

This weekend, Metropolitan Police travel to South Wales and take on the Martyrs at their MetCoaches Stadium (3pm).
