Iceland captain Gunnarsson was voted players player and fans player of the season, while he also received the trophy was most man of the match awards.

He also picked out his personal favourite goal of 2016-17, saying: “My first against Ipswich Town at home. We were a goal down and that gave us the chance to go on and win.”

‘Whitts’, who has netted 98 goals during a decade with Cardiff, is the club’s longest serving player.
