A full Bank Holiday fixture programme in the Cymru Premier League sees the league’s two clubs with 100 percent records go head to head at Jenner Park.

Only Barry and Bala have been able to produce successive wins in the opening two rounds of the new season prior to this afternoon’s meeting (2.30).

Bala Town stunned The New Saints on Friday night with an emphatic 3-1 win at Maes Tegid on Friday night, while Barry Town, spearheaded by Kayne McLaggon, won by the same scoreline at home to Aberystwyth Town.

Whilst Bala Town have galvanised themselves after last season’s disappointing campaign with the arrivals of Lassana Mendes in midfield and striker Louis Robles, it’s been the familiar face of Chris Venables, who has been their most prominent figure to date with the veteran attacking midfielder grabbing four goals in the Lakersiders first two games.

Colin Caton has a full-strength side available to him but will be braced for another stiff test in the South Wales sunshine against a Barry Town United side, who seem intent on picking up on where they left off last season.

Gavin Chesterfield is without suspended duo Jonathon Hood and Jordan Cotterill, meaning that summer signing Keyon Reffell and Tom Fry should retain their places in line-up. Kayne McLaggon, who has bagged three goals in Barry’s opening two games, will be a major threat to the Bala Town rearguard.

The New Saints are looking to bounce back from last Friday’s defeat at Aberystwyth Town. The defending champions have looked unconvincing to date and manager Scott Ruscoe is expected to recall last season’s Golden Boot winner Greg Draper to the Saints line-up.

Connah’s Quay entertain Carmarthen Town in search of their first win of the season.

The league’s two newly promoted sides, Airbus and Penybont both face difficult away days against unbeaten opposition. The Wingmakers visit Cardiff Met while Penybont travel to Mid-Wales to face Chris Hughes’ Newtown. After a difficult start against last season’s top-two sides, Caernarfon Town host an unbeaten Cefn Druids side, looking to continue their good start.

Bank Holiday fixtures (all 2.30):
Aberystwyth Town v The New Saints, Barry Town United v Bala Town, ,Caernarfon Town v Cefn Druids, Cardiff Met v Airbus UK, Connah’s Quay v Carmarthen Town, Newtown v Penybont.
