Aberystwyth have been handed a difficult tie in the last 16 of the JD Welsh Cup after they were drawn away to Cardiff Met.

The Seasiders impressively knocked out holders Bala Town in the third round while Cardiff Met advanced past Welsh League Penybont.

Llanrhaeadr were rewarded for their shock victory over Cefn Druids with a home draw against Bangor City.

Cymru Alliance Ruthin Town secured their place into the fourth round draw after defeating Welsh Premier Prestatyn 3-0. The Denbighshire side will now visit Llandudno.

Welsh Premier promotion hopefuls Caernarfon Town will host last season’s beaten finalists The New Saints in what will likely be a strong contender for live television coverage.

JD Welsh Cup fourth round draw in full:
Flint Town United v Newtown

Caernarfon v TNS
Connah’s Quay v Porthmadog
Cardiff Met v Aberystwyth
Pontypridd v Penydarren BGC
