Nev Powell returns to former club Bangor City tonight with his Aberystwyth side looking to extend their run of form (7.45).

Powell had led Bangor to the league championship as well as three Welsh Cup successes during his nine year tenure, before being unexpectedly dismissed at the start of last season.

Powell returned to management with Aberystwyth in this summer and after a rocky start, has since lifted the side away from the foot of the table.

Aber’s recent 1-0 win over Cefn Druids was their third WPL victory in four and a win over Powell’s former club would take them up into eighth place.

Bangor ended a poor sequence of results by recording a 2-1 over Newtown on Saturday.

Kevin Nicholson’s side have looked vulnerable of late and have slipped down the table after topping the league earlier in the season.

Bangor captain Danny Holmes isn’t expected to recover in time to face Aber after limping off at Newtown.

City academy product Guto Williams made his full debut in that game and is expected to feature again.

Experienced winger Geoff Kellaway is ruled out for the visitors.
