Lee Peltier Says Cardiff Can Fly Above The Seagulls

Lee Peltier insists Cardiff City can keep their heads above the relegation waters with a flood of points in their last three matches. Tuesday night’s late 1-0 victory for Tottenham over Brighton has left Cardiff three points behind the Seagulls with both clubs now having played the same number of games. The Bluebirds lost 2-0 to Liverpool on Easter Sunday, but a victory at Fulham on Saturday would draw them level on 34 points with Brighton, who host in-form Newcastle later in the evening. Brighton have failed to score in their last seven games.

Cardiff City’s Pogba Lacuna . . . It’s Being Filled By Leandro Bacuna

Leandro Bacuna insists Cardiff City have what Aston Villa lacked three years ago – the unity to stay in the Premier League. The Bluebirds midfielder – who could replace Aron Gunnarssson against Liverpool today – was part of the Villa squad that crashed out of the top level in 2016. It was a divided dressing room, he says, full of finger-pointing accusations among players against a chaotic backdrop of four different managers in the same season.

Neil Warnock: We Need To Be Better . . . Or We’re Going To Get Battered

Neil Warnock has warned his Cardiff City relegation-battlers they need to improve against the top teams – or else they are heading for a “battering” against Liverpool on Sunday. The victory has revived the Bluebirds’ hope of staying in the Premier League, by cutting the gap between themselves and Brighton to just two points.

We Have Made Sunday Super, Says Cardiff Boss Neil Warnock

Neil Warnock believes, that at the very least, Cardiff City have boosted Sky Sports’ viewing figures for the club’s televised clash against title-chasing Liverpool on Sunday. Not many neutrals would have given Cardiff much hope of taking anything from that fixture, had the Bluebirds lost to Brighton on Tuesday night. But their transformational 2-0 victory at the Amex Stadium – only Cardiff’s third victory away from home this season – has dramatically altered their Premier League survival hopes.

Neil Warnock: Cardiff Need The Eye Of The Tiger

Neil Warnock has urged his Cardiff City players to prove there is room for another great sporting comeback story this week. The Bluebirds manager says he has been inspired by Tiger Woods’ triumph at the Masters where the 43-year-old won his first major tournament for 11 years. Cardiff are even longer odds to stay up – 11-1 with some bookies – than Woods was to win another green jacket at Augusta, but Warnock insists the revival can start with a victory at Brighton on Tuesday night.
