Leroy Fer Says Swans Must Avoid Repeat Of Measly End Of Year Dozen

Leroy Fer has admitted Swansea City will back at square one unless they beat Crystal Palace on Saturday. With the club still anchored to the bottom of the Premier League table, the pressure is mounting on manager Paul Clement. The club have lost eight of their last 10 games and another reverse would test the loyalty of the American owners who have so far given full backing to Clement and suggested he will be in place to oversee the January transfer window.

Stuck On Stuckey – Ponty’s Dale Wins Premiership Award

Pontypridd wing Dale Stuckey has won his second Principality Premiership Player of the Month of 2017 – this time for October. Stuckey, who also picked up the award for February, helped the Sardis Road side move towards the top of the table with wins over Cardiff and Bedwas in October – and continued that form, scoring two tries in the 25-12 win over Ebbw Vale at the start of November. He also earned a place in the Cardiff Blues Premiership Select XV against Bristol and Leinster during the month.

Black And Ambers Aiming High As Principality Premiership Divisions Merge

Newport and Cross Keys will kick-off the final round of matches in the first phase of this season’s Principality Premiership on Wednesday (kick-off 7.15pm) with the Black & Ambers hoping to jump up one more place in the East Division table. The Rodney Parade outfit currently sit in fifth place, two points behind arch-rivals Cardiff. If they can overtake them – Cardiff head to Sardis Road to take on Pontypridd on Saturday – then they will pick up an extra point to carry forward when the East and West divisions amalgamate for the second half of the season.
