Wrexham fans today began voting on a future that could see the club back in the Football League as a global force and starring in a Netflix documentary of their rise.
Wrexham AFC set for one of the most important weeks in the club’s history as Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney outline their vision for the club. The duo want to take over the National League outfit which could see £2million invested into the club which has been in fan ownership since 2011.
Wrexham AFC’s fans have voted overwhelmingly in favour of allowing talks that could lead to the takeover of the club. The Wrexham Supporters Trust gave their backing for talks with ‘two extremely well-known individuals of high net worth’ who are keen to immediately plough in £2million.
Wrexham AFC’s Supporters Trust have called a special meeting to discuss a potential £2million takeover of the club. The approach to take over the National League outfit is said to have come from “two extremely well-known individuals of high net worth” who wish to remain anonymous at the moment.
