Wales Women To Play Spain And Ireland Ahead Of Six Nations

Wales Women will play away fixtures against Spain and Ireland in the next fortnight as they warm up for the 2017 RBS 6 Nations. The fixture against Spain will be played on Saturday 14th January (16:00 local time) in Villajoyosa in Alicante. Las Leonas claimed the final European place at this year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup after beating Scotland on aggregate back in November.

Rowland Phillips Rings The Changes For Wales Women

Head coach Rowland Phillips has named his Wales Women team to take on the UK Armed Forces in Friday’s Remembrance Day match at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park (19:30). Showing six changes from the starting XV which defeated Scotland 15-0 a fortnight ago in Cardiff – in what was Phillips’ first match at the helm – Wales Women will be out to make it two from two this autumn in their final competitive match ahead of next year’s Six Nations.

Wales Women Make Four Changes

Wales Women’s head coach Rhys Edwards has made four changes and two positional switches for Sunday’s Six Nations finale against Italy at the Talbot Athletic Ground (KO 2pm). Adi Taviner and Kerin Lake replace Dyddgu Hywel and Elinor Snowsill in the backs while Amy Evans and Siwan Lillicrap come in for Catrin Edwards and Rebecca Rowe in the forwards. There could be one further change with Edwards giving Sioned Harries more time to recover from illness after the No8 missed the clash against England.
