Wales Women failed to record a first away win over England as the world champions gained revenge for last season’s Six Nations defeat. Despite a brave challenge, Wales were edged out 20-13 at the Twickenham Stoop – thanks to two tries from Ceri Large – and are now chasing runners-up spot in the championship.
Wales Women have been forced to make one late change to their starting side for Saturday’s Six Nations game as they aim to make history against England at Twickenham Stoop. Number eight Sioned Harries is ruled out by illness and replaced by Alisha Butchers, with Dragons centre Gemma Rowlands coming in to the replacements.
Megan York’s second-half try gave Wales women a stunning 10-8 win over France women to end their Grand Slam ambitions in Neath. Les Bleues came into the game as favourites after convincing wins in their opening two games, but couldn’t break down an incredible Welsh defence and paid the price when York scored on the counter-attack.
