Lydia Hall And Amy Boulden Cash In Down Under And Now Jet To Africa

Welsh golfers Lydia Hall and Amy Boulden plundered more than £10,000 in prize money from four events on the recent Ladies European Tour trip to Australia.

Now, Hall will be heading to South Africa to play at the South African Open at the Westlake Golf Club in Cape Town between 8-10 March. She will then team up with Boulden and Becky Brewerton for an assault on the Lalla Meryem Cup at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Tanzania next month.

Hall finished three shots off the lead in the New South Wales Open this weekend to finish tied in fifth place at Coffs Harbour Golf Club. The title went to England’s Meghan MacLaren, who held onto her overnight lead to claim her first Ladies European Tour title.

MacLaren finished on a 10 under par score of 274. Hall, who shot the second lowest round of the tournament with a 65 on day two, finished on 277, seven under, with Boulden just failing to make the cut by a shot.

For Hall it was a big improvement on her 60^th place in the Ladies Classic in Bonville, where she shot 301, 30^th at the Victoria Open and 15^th at the Canberra Classic at the Royal Canberra Club.

But the biggest winner over the month long tour was North Walian Boulden, who pocketed A$8,799 for finishing 11^th at the Victoria Open with a two under par final score. That came after a 31^st finish in Canberra.

There was no further glory for Celtic Manor professional Rhys Enoch in South African following his heroics on the Sunshine Tour. After winning for the first time over four rounds at the Cape Town Open he failed to make the cut in the Tshwane Open.
