Celtic Dragons are aiming to spring a Vitality Netball Superleague surprise in Cardiff on Monday evening.

The Welsh club are at home against Loughborough Lightning, who have a 100 per cent record this season.

Dragons have yet to earn their first victory, but they have spent a long time on the road since the 2017 season started and will feel right at home in front of their Green Army fans.

Monday’s match is the start of series of top level fixtures at Sport Wales National Centre (7.45pm).

The match will celebrate those Green Army supporters and fans who wear green at the match will receive a free programme.

Tickets for all home games can be found at celticdragonsnetball.com

Sirens earned a solid Friday night victory when they defeated Team Bath 51-45 in Scotland. Captain Claire Brownie was Sirens’ player of the match as they led 15-10 after the first quarter before losing the second 10-17.

The Scottish team then won the third 15-10 and the fourth 11-8 to complete their victory.

Severn Stars travel to play winless Team Northumbria on Saturday, while Wasps travel to take on Storm at Surrey Sports Park.

Two other familiar rivals do battle for Sky Sports Monday Night Netball in round seven as Hertfordshire Mavericks head to Manchester Thunder.

These two former Superleague champions have clashed in several massive fixtures before and the hosts know a win will put significant distance between themselves and their opponents in the league table.
