The Cardiff schoolgirl is one of four payers who go into the final day level on 11 points from a possible 12.

And Hursey will face two of them in the final three matches in the shape of Germany’s Annett Kaufmann and Mia Griesel

The 14-year-old began the second day of competition with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Jele Stotz.

Hursey took the decisive game 13-11 against the German to make it four wins out of four.

But her perfect record was ended in her next match as France’s Charlotte Lutz came out on top 3-1.

Lutz is the other player to have only lost one match so far.

Hursey quickly bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Ireland’s Sophie Earley in her final match.

The final day of competition will also see her facing Helena Sommerova of the Czech Republic.
