Llandudno Face Airbus In Unbeaten JD Cymru North Clash

JD Cymru North

JD Cymru North

There is no doubting what the game of the weekend is in JD Cymru North.

The battle of undefeated sides Llandudno and Airbus UK Broughton takes place at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Friday night.

Airbus lead the table on goal difference with 29 points from 11 games, while Tudno are third on 28 from 10 matches.

It has all the makings of an extremely close encounter with a draw looking a decent bet.

Also on Friday, Gresford Athletic will do well to take a point at home to fourth-place Newtown, while after two close and honourable defeats against The New Saints and Holywell Town, can Mold Alexandra turn the tables when they travel to an improved Ruthin Town?

Holywell Town will be keeping a keen eye on Friday's Llandudno v Airbus result as what occurs at the GGS may have a bearing on where the Wellmen will finish up on Saturday evening.

Johnny Haseldin's men will go all out to maintain their unbeaten run when Brickfield Rangers are visitors to the Bartons North Wales Stadium on Saturday.

Following a heartbreaking loss to Llandudno last weekend, Buckley Town are sure to be determined to bounce back when they host third-from-bottom Caersws.

Having suffered a record 6-0 league defeat at Airbus last Friday, CPD Y Rhyl 1879 need a tonic when they entertain basement side Penrhyncoch.

Guilsfield are always a tough proposition at home, but they will need to be wary that Saturday's visitors Flint Mountain are on an upward curve.

Holyhead Hotspur remain the only team without a win in the league. Can they turn the corner when they greet fifth-place Denbigh Town at the New Stadium?

ARDAL NORTH EAST

Bottom welcomes top on Saturday when the Ardal North East's basement team Lex XI take on unbeaten leaders Llanuwchllyn.

While the respective positions of the clubs hint at a clear Llanuwchllyn victory, Lex did pick up a morale boosting League Cup win at Dolgellau on Tuesday and the Wrexham side's recent showings, with new signings on board, have seen a marked improvement.

Having stopped the rot with a fine 5-2 win over Bow Street last weekend, can Cefn Albion repeat the dose away to Llandrindod Wells, who are unbeaten in their last three?

Third-place Penycae have to be fancied to see off lowly visitors Kerry, while Knighton Town should regain winning ways after a 6-0 caning at Llanuwchllyn last time out when the Powys outfit entertain next-to-bottom Llangollen Town.

Dolgellau Athletic must have been disappointed with their midweek cup loss to previously winless Lex. Can the AA's produce a positive response at home to unpredictable Llanfair?

Radnor Valley have a fair shout of recording a home victory over struggling Builth Wells, while Llanrhaeadr versus Rhos Aelwyd has the makings of a draw.

ARDAL NORTH WEST

With table-toppers CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 involved in FAW Amateur Trophy action, Porthmadog can regain top spot with a win at Connah's Quay Town on Saturday.

It will be far from easy for Chris Jones' side, though, with the Town a more than useful opponent at home.

Llay Welfare have collected seven points from a possible last nine and might be on course for three more when they take on bottom team St Asaph City.

Saints put up a fine show last weekend, however, in a slender 1-0 loss to leaders Bangor, so does this suggest they are on the verge of better things?

Fifth-place NFA will have been stunned by last weekend's 3-2 loss to a Penmaenmawr Phoenix side they led 2-0.

The Rhyl-based outfit have a chance to make amends at home to Mynydd Isa, who nonetheless beat Connah's Quay Town last time out and have triumphed twice on their travels since promotion to Tier 3.

If Trearddur Bay can produce anything like a repeat of the cracking display they put on in last weekend's 5-1 win at Llangefni Town, the Anglesey side must have a big chance of another victory at Pwllheli.
