Joe Rodon was harshly sent off according to his manager Daniel Farke as Leeds United earned a goalless draw at Hull City.
Wales defender Rodon was dismissed for a second bookable offence on the hour and will now be suspended for Leeds’ next game against Watford.
But Farke insisted Rodon’s first yellow card should not have been given.
“The first was not a yellow card against Joe, not even a foul,” said Farke.

“No-one can explain it to me but you have to say if you are booked you have to deal a bit smarter with the situation. This is where we have to be a bit critical.
“That he’s not allowed to finish the game feels harsh. He had two fouls and there were so many technical fouls just against Cree Summerville. It feels harsh.”
But Hull manager Leroy Rosenior took a different view of the Rodon challenge on Aaron Connolly on the halfway line.
“I haven’t seen the challenge back, I’ve been told it’s a clear yellow and it could have been a red in itself,” he said.
“I’m not saying it was because I haven’t seen it back but if you’ve been booked already you can’t make a challenge like that.”

Farke’s men had the best chances of the first half – most significantly through the wasteful Georginio Rutter after 26 minutes – but they found debutant goalkeeper Ryan Allsop in inspired form.
Rosenior will be satisfied that their promising start to the season continued, now unbeaten since the opening day at Norwich.
But Rosenior will have expected much better of his offensive players inside the final third – not least when substitute Adama Traore somehow missed an open goal with two minutes remaining in normal time.

Farke added: “If you offered me a point from the game – on the road and a clean sheet – I wouldn’t have taken it as I always want to go for a win.
“But after the game I’m a little divided. We were so dominant after a good starting period and we created so many good chances.
“But, obviously, after 89 minutes they had a monster chance. Normally you lose such a game like that. So, for that, I would say it was definitely a good point.
“We looked rock solid against a good football team. I’m pretty pleased about how well structured we were.
“The only thing I can criticise is not putting the ball in the back of the net.”
Hull remain sixth in the Championship table after extending their unbeaten run to six games, while Farke’s Leeds are now five without defeat and are two points off the play-offs in ninth.
