There are six matches on Friday night in the JD Cymru North, including a clash between the top two.

An early season clash of genuine JD Cymru North heavyweights takes place on Friday night when Airbus UK Broughton host Newtown.

Both sides have 100 percent records and nine points apiece, with the Wingmakers leading the table on goal difference.

Last season's Cymru North runners-up Airbus will be out to make a statement against the Robins, who lost their Cymru Premier status in 2024-25 after 33 years in the top flight.

The only other club with a perfect record so far is Holywell Town, who will aim to make it four straight wins when they visit Holyhead Hotspur.

Promoted back to Tier 2 this season, Hotspur have yet to pick up a win in three attempts but are always tricky opposition at home.

Darren Garmey's side did grab an encouraging draw away to Mold Alexandra last weekend which got them off the mark points-wise.

Buckley Town will be on a high after last Friday's 3-2 home victory over Ruthin Town, a game in which they fought back from two-down to wrest the spoils.

Asa Hamilton's side may well fancy their chances of making it two in a row at The Globe when they greet Guilsfield, who crashed 4-1 at Holywell in their last encounter.

Denbigh Town were highly impressive 5-0 victors at Gresford Athletic a week ago and start just slight favourites to defeat a Mold Alexandra side yet to lose this term.

With their Central Park ground undergoing improvements, Denbigh's 'home' for Friday's tussle is the Blue Turtle Arena in Colwyn Bay.

Flint Mountain lie bottom after three losses on the bounce, but will be hopeful of turning the tables when they host a Gresford Athletic side walloped at home by Denbigh last weekend.

Mountain have played pretty well in their games so far and look a decent call for at least a point at their temporary base of Bastion Gardens in Prestatyn.

Match of the night could well be the battle of unbeaten sides at Go Goodwins Stadium where Llandudno entertain Cymru North newcomers CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

There will be plenty of interest in this one, not least because Tudno have just signed striker Dylan Proctor, top-scorer for the Lilywhites when they won the Ardal North West title last season.

JD CYMRU NORTH

Airbus UK Broughton v Newtown
Buckley Town v Guilsfield
Denbigh Town v Mold Alexandra
