Holywell Town Aim to Bounce Back After Airbus Attack

JD Cymru North

JD Cymru North

The JD Cymru North is hotting up nicely at the top with three clubs - Llandudno, Airbus UK Broughton and Holywell Town - all bunched together as we head towards the season mid-point.

JD CYMRU NORTH

Holywell Town will have three points in their sights when they host Buckley Town in what should prove a tricky local derby on Saturday.
Having bounced back from a devastating 6-0 thumping at Airbus by beating Penrhyncoch 3-1 at home last Saturday, Rhyl 1879 will be hunting another positive outcome when improving Flint Mountain visit the Hops and Barley Community Stadium.
After suffering a 6-0 caning at Holywell last Saturday, Brickfield Rangers need a tonic when they entertain bottom side Penrhyncoch at Clywedog Park.
Neither Caersws or Gresford Athletic are in the best of form and the clash of this pair at the Recreation Ground in Powys has the makings of a draw.
After breaking their duck last time out with a thrilling 3-2 success over Denbigh Town, Holyhead Hotspur will look to build on that result when they journey to Guilsfield, but it could prove a tough afternoon for the Holy Islanders.
Mold Alexandra returned to winning ways at Ruthin last weekend and may be optimistic of getting something at home to Newtown, especially after the Robins getting knocked out of the MG Cup in midweek by rampant Llandudno.
This could be a close one, but with vital league points on the line, Newtown might just hold the edge.

ARDAL NORTH EAST

With a seven-point lead at the summit, unbeaten Llanuwchllyn should have enough to see off visitors Llandrindod Wells on Saturday.
Second hosts third when Cefn Albion welcome Knighton Town to The Muga.
With back-to-back wins behind them after a barren run, Albion can come out on top in a close battle.
Having lost three on the bounce, the time could be right for Kerry to turn the tide when they entertain a managerless Corwen outfit no doubt smarting from last weekend's 5-0 humbling at Bow Street.
Fourth-place Penycae look like good candidates for at least a point at Dolgellau, while Lex XI will be eager to wipe out the memory of last weekend's 9-0 home battering at the hands of Llanuwchllyn when the bottom-placed Lawmen visit inconsistent Builth Wells.
Bow Street will surely be boosted by their latest result, a 5-0 cruise over Corwen, and are capable of a point at least at Llanfair United.
Llanrhaeadr look a decent call for a draw or even a win at Llangollen Town and Rhos Aelwyd can overcome the challenge of visitors Radnor Valley if they rediscover some of their better form.

ARDAL NORTH WEST

Leaders Porthmadog have an awkward hurdle in front of them when NFA visit Y Traeth, but a narrow win for the hosts looks the best shout.
Undefeated this season in 18 matches across all competitions with 17 wins and a draw, against Llannefydd in the league, CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 will start favourites away to third-from-bottom Penmaenmawr Phoenix.
However, Pen are on an upward curve, having won a thriller versus NFA last time out in the league and reaching the FAW Trophy last 16 in their most recent test.
This could be a tighter contest than many may think at Cae Sling.
In-form Llanrwst United will visit Bethesda Athletic with a fair chance of returning with something good, while another team on a fine run, Trearddur Bay, should end up victorious at Mynydd Isa if they maintain recent high performance levels.
Potential draws in store from the Pwllheli versus Connah's Quay Town and CPD Y Felinheli against Llay Welfare match-ups, but bottom side St Asaph City took a real pounding last Saturday at Llay, and might find CPD Llannefydd too much of a handful at Roe Plas Meadows.
