Eder Believes He Could Have Been A Hit At Swansea

Portugal’s Euro2016 goal hero Eder reckons Swansea City never saw the best of him. The striker turned into a £5million flop at the Liberty Stadium failing to score in 15 games following his move from Braga last summer.

Portugal’s Euro2016 goal hero Eder reckons Swansea City never saw the best of him.

The striker turned into a £5million flop at the Liberty Stadium failing to score in 15 games following his move from Braga last summer.

Eder left for Lille in February and completed his permanent move to the French outfit just weeks before ending the host nations dreams.

But Eder, 28, said: “It is true that you need to adapt to the Premier League.

“It is the best in the world so of course it is difficult. For me it was my dream to play there.

“Swansea are a nice club with nice people but things just didn’t develop in the way I wanted on the pitch.

“It is not like I am scared of the Premier League. I believe I could adapt there and show my skills.

“Now the full focus is on Lille and I have been very happy here.

“But I could definitely see myself being successful in the Premier League as well.”
