Neither Barry Town or Bala Town were able to extend their 100 percent records after the two cancelled each other out at a sun-soaked Jenner Park.

The two sides remain joint-top of the Cymru Premier along with Cardiff Met, who also extended their winning run. Elsewhere, The New Saints recorded a record-equalling away win as they ran out 10-1 winners against Aberystwyth.

Hosts Barry Town led twice before being pegged back on each occasion a stubborn Bala outfit.

After a tepid opening, Drew Fahiya opened the scoring a minute before half-time, converting Kayne McLaggon’s low cross after a driving run from Tom Fry.

An improved start to the second-half from Bala saw Louis Robles stab the ball home in, converting Sean Smith’s pass.

Kayne McLaggon restored Barry’s lead with a thumping finish to claim his fourth goal in three games and should have added a third moments later, when he rounded substitute goalkeeper Ashley Morris, only for Bala’s Sean Smith to hook the ball away from his own goalline.

That missed opportunity would prove costly to Barry as Stuart Jones’ bullet header, six minutes later, again restored parity for the Lakesiders, who could have snatched a late winner of their own when Kieran Smith’s header whistled past the upright.

The New Saints humilated Aberystywth Town, racing into a 5-0 first-half lead before doubling their tally in the second period. Billy Whitehouse marked his first start of the season with a first-half hat-trick with the relentless Saints scoring four in the final 10 minutes, including a brace for substitute Greg Draper.

Chris Baker scored the only goal of the game as Cardiff Met edged past Airbus by a single goal at Cyncoed.

Newtown and Cefn Druids also remain unbeaten. On-loan Shrewsbury Town winger Lifumpa Mwandwe scored his first goal for the Robins to give them the lead against Penybont, who picked up their first point of the campaign thanks to Dan Griffiths’ equaliser.

Ryan Kershaw scored three minutes into the second-half as Cefn Druids cancelled out Darren Thomas’ sixth-minute opener for Caernarfon Town at The Oval.

Connah’s Quay were held to a third successive draw by Carmarthen Town. Liam Thomas gave the Old Gold a shock lead before Callum Morris salvaged a point for the Nomads.
