When their contracts expire on 30 June, Cardiff City will bid farewell to striker Connor Wickham and Northern Ireland winger Gavin Whyte, among other players.

Wickham, a former £8m signing for Sunderland back in 2011, joined Cardiff on a temporary deal in February. The 30-year-old managed to find the net once in his 12 appearances for the club.

Whyte, 27, arrived at Cardiff from Oxford United in 2019 but struggled to secure significant playing time during his tenure.

In addition, goalkeeper Dillon Phillips and the versatile Tom Sang, who has featured in both midfield and defence, have also departed from Cardiff.

A statement released by the club expressed gratitude to all the departing players for their contributions while at the football club and extended best wishes for the future.

Cardiff have made new contract offers to Wales forward Mark Harris, left-back Joel Bagan, and midfielder Eli King, signaling their desire to retain these players.

At under-21 level, the Championship club have exercised options to extend the contracts of Cameron Antwi, Raheem Conte, Kieron Evans, Caleb Hughes, Ryan Kavanagh, and Matt Turner.

Meanwhile, Jac Clay, Taylor Jones, Jack Leahy, Aidan MacNamara, and Owen Pritchard are set to part ways with the club at the conclusion of this month.
