Wales skipper Aaron Ramsey will miss his side’s push for promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League after being ruled out of their final two fixtures in Group B this month. The Cardiff City midfielder has already missed the last two games after picking up a hamstring injury after coming on as a replacement in the final 10 minutes of the 2-1 win in Montenegro in the second round match in Niksic on 9 September.

Wales skipper Aaron Ramsey will miss his side’s push for promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League after being ruled out of their final two fixtures in Group B this month.

The Cardiff City midfielder has already missed the last two games after picking up a hamstring injury after coming on as a replacement in the final 10 minutes of the 2-1 win in
Montenegro in the second round match in Niksic on 9 September.

He hasn’t played since and interim Bluebirds boss Omer Riza has dismissed his chances of featuring in this month’s final two games against table-topping Turkey in Kayseri on 16 November and then Iceland in the Welsh capital three days later.

“Rambo’s the same as he was. He’s working towards getting himself back into contention in the next three, four or five weeks,” said Riza.

“I don’t think he will be in the Welsh squad. He could be around the squad in respect of being a senior player in a coaching capacity or something along those lines. But playing wise, no.”

Aaron Ramsey Warned Off Considering Cardiff City Player-Coach Role

Cardiff City have picked up 11 points in an unbeaten run of five games that has lifted them off the bottom of the Championship table. But they will go into this weekend’s home clash with Norwich City not only without Ramsey, but potentially without Callum Robinson.

The influential Republic of Ireland attacking midfielder picked up a knock to his Achilles in the goalless draw at West Brom last weekend and is undergoing a scan to assess the damage.

While he is considered doubtful to face the Canaries, stalwart Joe Ralls is another who won’t be fit to play. Riza hopes to have him back in contention to face Blackburn on 9 November.
