It could even happen on Tuesday if the Bluebirds beat the Terriers and Stockport County fail to win at Wimbledon.
Wrexham also have promotion on their minds, with a home game against Stoke City on Saturday that looks must-win if they are to maintain a serious interest in the Championship play-offs.
Newport County look in much better shape to survive in League Two than they did a couple of weeks ago, and those chances will be boosted again if they can get something from Saturday’s visit to Cheltenham Town.
In rugby, it’s back to the United Rugby Championship for the four Welsh regions, while Wales host France on Saturday in round two of the Women’s Six Nations.
