It is hard to bet against Mark Allen's table-toppers after a fast start byย Airbus UK Broughton.
Howeve, Rhyl did cause a surprise recently when becoming the first team to take a point off another high-flying outfit in Holywell Town this season, so the Lilywhites cannot be totally counted out at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
There could be a close encounter at The Globe where sixth-place Buckley Town host an unbeaten Llandudno, who sit third.
The Bucks have not lost in their last six league outings, but received a knockback last weekend when going down on penalties at Tier 3 Porthmadog in the Welsh Cup.
Can Asa Hamilton's side bounce back? They will have to be on top form to upset a Llandudno team with eight wins and a draw in nine starts, having conceded just a single goal.
The Vale of Clwyd derby between Denbigh Town and Ruthin Town at Central Park is another one to savour.
Denbigh are three places above their rivals in the standings, but Ruthin won away at Holyhead Hotspur last weekend and are showing signs of embarking on a decent run.
Saturday's fixture list offers another couple of mouth-watering derbies, with Mold Alexandra entertaining Holywell Town and Brickfield Rangers greeting Gresford Athletic in an all-Wrexham area tussle.
Second-place Holywell are another of the league's unbeaten sides, but they can expect a big battle from Mold, who will no doubt have been lifted by last weekend's heroic Welsh Cup performance against The New Saints, where they only lost to a very late decider.
Gresford have played just two away league fixtures and conceded a total of 12 goals, but they did defeat Brickie 3-0 at home in the Nathaniel MG Cup back in July.
Guilsfield look to have a good chance of three points at lowly Caersws. Guils are unbeaten over 90 minutes in six matches.
ย
Newtown should have the beating of visitors Holyhead Hotspur, who lie one off the bottom and are the only team in the league still without a win.
Basement boys Penrhyncoch entertain third-from-bottom Flint Mountain, who are an improving side capable of getting at least a point.
ARDAL NORTH EAST
Match of the day on Saturday in Ardal North East has to be the battle of the unbeatens - leaders Llanuwchllyn home to Knighton Town.
This one could end up very interesting, but with their superior strike power which includes Meilir Williams - 18 goals in 12 games - the hosts should edge it.
Third-place Cefn Albion were flying until recently, but have suffered three demoralising losses in a row. Can they get it right at home to sixth-place Bow Street? On current form, one would have to lean towards an away success.
Bottom side Lex XI were denied a first win of the season when they conceded a late equaliser at Radnor Valley last Saturday. Could the Lawmen go one better at managerless Corwen? Another draw seems a distinct possibility.
Battered 5-0 at home by Llanuwchllyn last time out, Penycae will surely fare better at winless and one-from-bottom Llangollen Town.
CPD Rhos Aelwyd versus Welsh Cup heroes Dolgellau Athletic has draw written all over it, and the same could be true of Builth Wells versus Llanrhaeadr plus Kerry against Llandrindod Wells.
One never knows what Llanfair United will produce, If they have one of their good days, they could grab a narrow victory over visitors Radnor Valley.
ARDAL NORTH WEST
Friday night brings an Anglesey derby in Ardal North West as Llangefni Town welcome Trearddur Bay at Cae Bob Parry.
Cefni have gone off the boil, losing their last two after staying undefeated through their opening seven fixtures, but are still well-placed in fourth, while Trearddur are down in 10th after Wednesday's 2-1 reverse at Prestatyn Town.
Bay did win 5-3 at Llangefni in a Welsh Cup cracker in August, so the hosts will surely be out for revenge.
Saturday sees CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876, who went top in midweek with a 5-1 thrashing of Porthmadog, travel to rock bottom St Asaph City.
Managerless Saints are on minus two points, while Bangor are unbeaten in 16 matches in all competitions. Michael Johnston's side won 6-0 at Asaph in the Welsh Cup last month, so all signs point towards an emphatic away win, but football can throw up shocks.
Second meets third when Porthmadog take on Prestatyn Town at Y Traeth. Port will have been stung by Wednesday's 5-1 caning at Bangor, a result which followed seven straight league wins for Chris Jones' side. Port chief Jones used to manage Prestatyn, so he will have a double incentive to gain a positive result on Saturday.
Llay Welfare will chase a fourth consecutive win when they travel to unpredictable Bethesda Athletic, while Mynydd Isa and Connah's Quay Town are both on nine points and will be anxious to boost their totals when they face each other at Argoed.
Pwllheli have recorded just one victory in their last six outings and face a difficult assignment at home to a Llannefydd side which was unlucky to exit the Welsh Cup at Tier 2 Penrhyncoch in their last game.
CPD Y Felinheli have lost two in succession and will want to stop the rot when they play host to a Llanrwst United team which has won two in a row and four of their last five.
Penmaenmawr Phoenix finally broke their league duck last weekend with a 1-0 verdict at Y Felinheli. Can Pen repeat the dose when they entertain NFA, who they knocked out of the FAW Amateur Trophy at Cae Sling just a fortnight ago?
