Neil Warnock: Cardiff Need The Eye Of The Tiger

Neil Warnock has urged his Cardiff City players to prove there is room for another great sporting comeback story this week. The Bluebirds manager says he has been inspired by Tiger Woods’ triumph at the Masters where the 43-year-old won his first major tournament for 11 years. Cardiff are even longer odds to stay up – 11-1 with some bookies – than Woods was to win another green jacket at Augusta, but Warnock insists the revival can start with a victory at Brighton on Tuesday night.

Cardiff City Are On The Cliff Edge, Says Neil Warnock . . . And We Could Be Dumped On By Seagulls

Neil Warnock believes his Cardiff City team have reached the point of no return and that if they lose at Brighton on Tuesday they will be heading for relegation. That is not to say Warnock thinks the fight has left his squad – far from it – but with games fast running out and the five point gap between themselves and safety still there, realism has come to the fore. “From their point of view it’s probably all over if they beat us,” admitted Warnock after the club’s latest controversial defeat, a 2-0 loss at Burnley.

Sean Dyche Insists Winner Of Cardiff-Burnley Won’t Take All

Sean Dyche will not relax even if Burnley beat Cardiff City today, with his side still precariously placed in the Premier League. What had looked a potential shoot-out for survival now appears a chance for the Clarets to secure their top-flight status after back-to-back wins over Wolves and Bournemouth. That moved Burnley eight points ahead of the Bluebirds in the final relegation spot, and victory would extend the gap to 11 with only five games left for Neil Warnock’s side.

FA To Neil Warnock: You Can Call Our Refs Rubbish . . . But Not Biased

Neil Warnock is in hot water with the FA for suggesting their referees are biased, rather than just incompetent. The Cardiff City manager has been charged by the Football Association following post-match comments made after Cardiff’s defeat to Chelsea. But it is understood the claims by Warnock that the Premier League have the “worst officials in the world” are not those over which he could be punished.

Manager Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds Can Still Beat The Premier Drop – And Win At Burnley Will Prove It

Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds still have hopes of avoiding the drop. They are arguably among six, maybe seven teams, still in danger. Realistically, though, Burnley, Southampton and Brighton are the teams Cardiff will try to chase down. All three could falter if Warnock’s men can earn the wins needed. Huddersfield Town (14 points) and Fulham (17) […]

Neil Warnock: We Are Odds On To Go Down . . . But We Keep Fighting

Neil Warnock has admitted the odds are against Cardiff City surviving in the Premier League – but has vowed to keep fighting. Warnock saw his team lose to a top six team for the second time inside four days as they were beaten 2-0 at Manchester City, who went back to the top of the table. Goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Leroy Sane in the first-half did not reflect the extent of the champions’ dominance but Cardiff showed much more resilience than they did in the first half of the campaign when up against the top teams.
