by Twm Owen Colin Jackson has praised the advice he received as a young athlete from Nigel Walker – and insisted the sprinter turned Welsh international was a better hurdler than he was a rugby player.  Two-time world 110m hurdles champion Jackson said just training alongside and observing 1984 Los Angeles Olympian Walker while still a teenager helped set him on track […]

Graham Potter Says Swans Would Need To Max Out To Make Play-Offs

Graham Potter insists Swansea City will just focus on winning rather contemplating the chances of a successful late charge into the play-offs. Another Daniel James-inspired victory – this time over Stoke City on Tuesday night – has moved the Swans to within seven points of sixth-placed Aston Villa. Given that there are also six other Championship clubs between the Swans and their target, they would appear to be no more than rank outsiders to claim a play-off place.

Cross Your Fingers For Cross Keys . . . Underneath The National Team, Welsh Rugby Looks Seriously Unwell

A week ago, Robin Davey suggested there was plenty to be alarmed about in Welsh rugby when it came to the dysfunctional Premiership. Now, the sirens have started wailing with the news that Cross Keys do not even have enough money to finish the season. And they are far from alone. The desperate news that Cross Keys have launched a survival fund just in order to finish the season proves just how quickly the shine from a Grand Slam can fade. Scratch below the glittering surface of Welsh rugby and there is so much that looks in a state of disrepair – like a respray job covering a multitude of sins under the bonnet.
