Welsh Super Eight Will Chase GB Medals In Germany As Busy Summer For Athletes Continues

A total of eight Welsh athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain at next month’s European Athletics Championships in Munich. Marathon runners Andy Davies and Rosie Edwards had been pre-selected for what will be the third major championships of this summer. They have now been joined by Jeremiah Azu, Joe Brier, Melissa Courtney-Bryant, Jake Heyward, Bethan Davies and Heather Lewis in the 115-strong GB team.

Anthony Limbrick Insists, “It Aint Over” . . . But The New Saints And Newtown Face Uphill Tasks To Stay In Europe

Both The New Saints and Newtown face an uphill task to stay in Europe after defeats in the first legs of their Europa Conference League ties. The New Saints were disappointed in losing 2-0 at Icelandic champions Vikingur Reykjavík, while Newtown were hammered 4-1 in Slovakia by Spartak Trnava. It means both Welsh Premier clubs have it all to do in the second legs at home next week.
