Golf in Wales is to receive a £1m financial boost from the Welsh Government, to help ensure a lasting legacy from the largest female sporting event ever to be held in Wales. The investment will support the Women’s Golf Legacy Fund which aims to create long-lasting change by addressing barriers faced by women and girls in golf. The initiative will provide grants to golf clubs for projects across Wales, focusing on developing inclusive, family-friendly, and gender-equal facilities.

Darts chiefs have defended their decision to include Gerwyn Price in the Premier League Darts – even though he has fallen to No.10 in the world. Price has been confirmed as one of the eight competitors for the 2025 Premier League Darts – an invitational event, loosely based around the world rankings.

Owen led  2-0 and looked on course for a place in the last eight alongside fellow Welshman Gerwyn Price, but Rydz booked his spot in the quarter-finals for the second time in his career with a brilliant comeback.

Grant Bradburn has been dismissed as Glamorgan’s head coach with immediate effect, following a recent charge of misconduct brought by the independent Cricket Regulator. The 58-year-old was referred to the regulator by the club after allegations of inappropriate behaviour were made against him.

Rising Welsh star Robert Owen’s stunning victory over Ricky Evans at the World Darts Championship was a rollercoaster of emotions, marked by tears, triumph, and tension. Female athletes are being deterred from competing in triathlons, after a new survey detailed over a quarter have experienced harassment at races. The new report from SheRACES in partnership with Fund Her Tri UK, is the most detailed research and analysis to date of the experience of women in triathlon, and reveals just three per cent of female athletes experience no deterrent or inequitable provision.
