Ahh Skeets! Ben Llewellin Suffers Olympic Agony As He Just Misses Out On Olympics In Shoot-Out For Games

Ben Llewellin saw his Olympic dream ended in agonising fashion as he just missed out on a place at the Tokyo Olympics. The Pembrokeshire marksmen hit an excellent 122 in qualifying for the men’s skeet at the European Championships in Croatia which went to a shoot-out for the final.

Ben Llewellin saw his Olympic dream ended in agonising fashion as he just missed out on a place at the Tokyo Olympics.

The Pembrokeshire marksmen hit an excellent 122 in qualifying for the men’s skeet at the European Championships in Croatia.

But with the competition so close – the top eight were separated by just one target – he missed out on a quota place for the Games in the shoot-out for the final..

Wales’s 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medalist had headed to the event in Osijek knowing it was his final chance for making the GB team for the Games.

The 26-year old three-time British has been in fine form having won the Olympic Skeet Grand Prix in East Yorkshire by shooting 58/60 in the final.

Llewellin has also been on target in the ISSF World Cup, and only just missed the Men’s Skeet final in Lonato by one target – having shot an impressive 122/125 against an incredibly strong field in Italy.
