A senior partner at accountancy and audit specialists PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Pamment replaces Helen Humphrey, who is stepping down after three years, and says she wants to help promote active lifestyles in Wales.

“I am passionate about ensuring that people can have an active lifestyle and can participate in sport, and I’m keen to take on the mantle of supporting the sport sector in Wales to develop and respond to the changing needs of society,” said Pamment.

“To deliver the ambition of a ‘Vibrant, Active Nation’, we need a sector that is strong, successful and sustainable, and the Welsh Sports Association is ideally placed to be able to help its members grow their financial and organisational resilience so that they can thrive.

“My aim is to use the skills I have acquired in a career that has spanned the last 28 years, working on providing solutions for local and multi-national organisations, and use them to lead the strategic direction of the WSA.”

A former treasurer of Llandaf Rowing Club, she also played hockey for Cardiff and Metropolitan Hockey Club.
